He was very responsive and kept us well informed, and we could not have been more pleased with his efforts and efficiency, as well as the skill and professionalism of the Green construction team.

Since a renovation is such an extensive and... read more lengthy process, I'm going to break my review up into a few categories in the hopes it might help others considering Green for their next home improvement project. Preconstruction/Estimating: 5/5 The process begins with a team coming out to review the space, taking plenty of photos and measurements. Once complete, an appointment is scheduled to meet at Green's showroom to review floor plans, select materials and finishes, and ultimately finalize the price. Our designer Rachel Probst was great to work with and really helped tie the finishes together nicely. Budget: 5/5 For such a considerable investment, we did our due diligence and received multiple proposals for the work. Green Basements and Remodeling was not the cheapest quote we received, but it was the most comprehensive. All material procurement, permits, scheduling, and project management was executed by Green, and that was well worth the upcharge over other companies. Once the work began, some cost increase changes did arise, but they were minimal and were driven by the inspections process rather than omissions or scope creep. Execution of the Work: 5/5 Our Project Manager Marcel Ille was also great to work with, alongside his team of carpenters and tradespeople. The work area was kept clean, and the pathway to the bathrooms was always protected to prevent dust, debris, etc from spreading throughout the house. Marcel was always reachable by phone or text, and he frequently checked in on construction progress. The work itself was performed professionally and finished to a high standard. The punch list at the end of construction consisted of minor touch-ups and a small number of items with lead times, but the list was minimal and addressed promptly. Schedule: 3/5 The one area that I would caution potential clients is regarding schedule, as our remodel took quite longer than originally anticipated. My overall rating does not reflect that, as the quality of work speaks for itself and the advantages of the turnkey renovation Green provides are numerous. Further, I tend to believe the pushes to schedule were largely driven by outside factors, like changes in the labor market at the time. That said, I would nonetheless advise tempering expectations regarding overall duration. With this all in mind, I would gladly recommend Marcel, Rachel and their supporting team at Green Basements and Remodeling. I have plans to eventually finish other areas of my house, and they will be the first ones I call.

Just as the previous two projects, we are very happy with the end result this time. Their contractors are skilled and good to work with. They kept the area clean after work each day. Project manager was there every step of the way. Green Basements and remodeling are definitely not the least expensive contractors, but the additional premium spent is well worth. Even though the project was delayed the final result was per our vision. They make sure work done is per customer’s expectations, take ownership if the work is not perfect and fix it. We will definitely reach out to them again for our next home improvement project.

They were definitely not the least expensive, but all of the work is done by company crews- no subbing out- so you know the work is going to be done the right way. We had a minor delay because of an inspection issue, but Blake came up with a solution. As I write this, the cabinet guys are in the downstairs kitchen, installing cabinets. Although it has taken a bit longer than we all thought, I couldn’t be happier with the work and professionalism we’ve encountered with every member of the Greene family.

The 3D rendering design gave me a great visual of what it would look like... read more & it was exactly how it turned out. Their interior designers had great ideas that helped me turn my kitchen into an efficient space creating more room for organizing. Any hiccups that came along they way with tearing down walls were quickly resolved. They were also flexible with some last minute changes as we neared the end of the project. We are incredibly happy with the end result!
